This is what Switch has been waiting for.  Switch Merge has been nominated as one of eight finalists in this year’s 2014 GrowthBeat Innovation Showdown, whose competition included over 100 startups. The award aims to showcase the best companies with innovative products and ideas in the marketing technology sphere.

What is the GrowthBeat Innovation Showdown?  This competition is part of VentureBeat’s first annual GrowthBeat Conference, a marketing technology event taking place in San Francisco on August 5-6. Finalists have just 5 minutes to sell their innovative products and demonstrate how their product represents the most innovative ideas in marketing. The winner, chosen by an expert panel of judges, will receive the chance receive VentureBeat coverage and among other things introductions to investors and other prizes to be announced.

The GrowthBeat conference is designed to educate marketers on the most cutting-edge technology and ideas, from apps to data and more. VentureBeat expects more than 500 marketing technology executives, leading brands, analysts, investors and press to convene at the event to learn about the issues that are top-of-mind for marketers today.

Switch Merge is Switch’s newest innovation – it’s mail merge but for video. The platform enables marketers to take customer data from their CRM platforms and use it to personalize videos to send to prospects, using targeted text and images. As personalization becomes increasingly popular as a marketing tactic, companies will be looking for more innovative ways to make sure their messages are connecting with recipients. Businesses can use Switch Merge for lead nurturing, gaining new prospects and delivering proposals, among other uses.
