Barbara Bell Angus is a Marketing Consultant with Switch Marketing.
Barbara’s career has focused on learning about learning. She has a MA from New York City’s Columbia University and a PhD from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE).
Barbara has been involved in learning about how we learn in a variety of settings. She conducts research and teaches teachers about learning at OISE and is a Psychoeducational Consultant at the Toronto District School Board. Barbara also consults with the Marketing Department at Ryerson University and with a Leadership Development firm.
Although learning is often viewed as the domain of schooling and education, learning and behaviour change underlies almost all aspects of life. The simplicity of the images in Switch videos is no accident.
“I am very pleased to be working with the talented staff at Switch as we continually strive to improve the impact of our videos,” said Barbara. “In terms of marketing it seems that the end goal is creating new learning and behaviour change. The viewers of Switch videos actually learn something new through the combination of simple, uncomplicated visuals and well-developed scripts.”
