We are very excited to announce our new partnership with the Wasaga Beach Short Film Festival! The WBSFF has now been active for two years, attracting numerous talents from around the Georgian Triangle. What we are hoping for, is that our partnership will not only work towards helping the festival to continue to grow, but to also help the participants involved to make kick-ass videos and give them the tools that they need in order to take their projects one step further. Switch will work with businesses in Wasaga Beach, Ontario to give them the tools that they need to create awesome 30 second videos that will explain their company’s stories. Once completed, these videos will be entered into the Third Annual film festival under the Video Advertisement category.
How will we do this you ask? Switch will be running two free workshops for all qualified entrants, which will be scheduled for later this year. These workshops will go over the various steps in the production process, what tools to use, as well as an overview of brain science so that their videos will attract customers and tell a compelling story that will resonate with their audience.
This partnership could also potentially result in two new categories being added in the future, which could provide more people with an opportunity to show their short to an audience, as well as give more local films and filmmakers some well-deserved exposure. And while Andrew Angus will be unable to attend due to a previous engagement, he will still be making an appearance via live video all the way from beautiful Utah.
On behalf of everyone here at team Switch, we wish all of this year’s participants the best of luck, and we are so thrilled to be a partner of the Wasaga Beach Short Film Festival for 2014!
